Wow! What an awesome parade. We had a blast last night at the Pleasure Island Christmas Parade. The cup looked awesome and our peeps represented well. The crowd’s response kept us all stoked from beginning to end.

Off the chain responses at the parade at CB! If you missed the Big Cup (the big Steamin’ Cup this time), you have another chance to catch it at the upcoming parade on Sunday in downtown Wilmington at sunset! John did an awesome job setting up and getting the crew pumped! Travis man-handled the 200lb helium monster so the kids could get the balloons! Way to go man! Brian and his wife drove one of the four-wheelers! God’s doing some neat stuff. From Brazil to Wilmington, Southside is reaching out to win! Now on to the next parade! See ya there! Isn’t it amazing how God works when we let Him? The brand new band for the Blend is coming together. Worship leader, Allen Baltezore and I auditioned a new bassist last night with the Southside House Band. What a musician! Amazing talent coming together! Today we had a chance to dream about our new space! Can’t wait to fill that place with awesome tunes and the amazing aroma of coffee. . . better yet, the sweet aroma of praise!

This is Bob Bowman or as we like to call him “Bob The Builder”. He is the creator of this awesome giant wooden coffee cup. As far as we can tell, this may be the largest wooden coffee cup structure in America if not the world (10 ft. 7 in. tall*). But if you can prove other wise leave a comment, but notice I said “wooden” and “structure” not functional. We will add more fun facts, photo’s and videos as we approach the opening of the Blend.
*Note: Other dimension’s are, Top – 9.5 ft., Bottom – 7.5 ft., Handle – 8 ft. tall and 4 in. wide, with the total cup width of 13.5 ft. Approximate weight is 2,200 lbs. and the handle weight alone is about 100 lbs.
